10 THOUGHTS YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ABOUT BRAS – PART 2

These myths do not do ’em boobs any good. If you have large breasts, they are beautiful too!

Here is the concluding part where I share thoughts not to have when it comes to your bra styling.

6: “ALL MY BRAS HAVE TO BE UNDERWIRED”

Some women just love their underwired bras and there are loads of them to choose from. No problem there. They give good bust lift and definition always.

However, if you are one who would rather do without it, it is absolutely fine. I usually advocate #wirefree bra days, especially during that time of the month when you don’t feel like dotting all the ‘i’s.

There are various types of soft-cup bras you can go for and they even come in plus cup sizes. In fact, there are #moulded and #padded non-wired bras too! So you really do not have to be stuck with underwired bras, at least not all the time if that’s your preference. Isn’t it good to know that there are options to explore?

Be mindful when you buy though, the fit of underwired and #non-wired bras are a little bit different and your expectations should be tamed as such. Also, some are firmer than the others while some give more lift than the others and you may find that you need to go a band size lower to get the support you desire.

Bottom line, keep an open mind and be at ease. Some soft cup bras here.

7: SMALLER BOOBS ARE BETTER BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS PERKIER

Simply put: It is not true! There are small breasts that are pendulous and there is a particular type of bra that more often suits them. Pregnancy, among other factors, particularly changes our bodies as women and this applies to all breasts big and small. Losing significant weight also takes its toll on any breast, plus or petite size.

Not all big boobs are pendulous though. Some are more rounded than low-riding. The main point here is to find what works with this breast type. The balcony bra is usually where to start from because it gives some control at the center for not-so-firm breasts.

Remember, “BIG OR SMALL, YOUR BOOBS ARE PERFECT FOR THE BEST VERSION OF YOUR EXISTENCE RIGHT NOW”. Adopt this mindset and navigating through to your best bra just got easier.

8: MY BOOBS ARE TOO BIG SO I CAN NOT GET A PERFECT BRA

Quite often, I come across women who have ‘lost hope’ in finding bras true to their size. To them, it seems like a disadvantage to come that big. Turns out that knowing where to get them from and what to buy makes the difference. Yes, you can get your size even if it has to be made especially for you. No kidding.

Kemi had been wearing size 40B bras, she looked and felt all over the place. When she got fitted, her size was found to be 34G. A whopping seven cup sizes bigger and three band sizes too loose. Hear her comment, “I feel like walking on the road with my bras alone…” The experience was second to none for her because she felt light and more beautiful. Point is, knowing where to look and what to do is crucial to your having a fulfilling bra experience.

9: “I’M PLUS SIZE SO I CAN’T DO STRAPLESS BRAS”

Sure, you can! Every day, we are breaking this mould and blowing the minds of full-busted and full-figured women who never considered strapless bras as options for them, and we even get them to try without the straps. . Yes, without the straps! Even if you have a slim body and big boobs.

This is a type of party bra that introduces your sophistication as you step into the party arena. Have you noticed that many red-carpet attires are styled with this bra or a variant of it?

The big secret is that they are available in bigger sizes too! Solid, supportive strapless bras are great with the bustier, mono-shoulder, off-shoulder, mesh shoulder attires, and halter necks.

A 38G client said this on styling her first strapless bra, “Couldn’t believe that the strapless bra could fit when I saw it until I finally wore it. I am speechless because this is my first time owning a strapless bra!”

An important point is that a strapless bra will not forgive you for not knowing your size and it will show immediately you put it on by not holding your boobs up. Generally, it has to be in your everyday size and you are good to go. See some looks you can sport here.

10: SOME BRAS ARE CARCINOGENIC

CANCER has a bad reputation for triggering fear and with due reasons. However, research has shown no link between wearing bras and cancer.

The real factors that lead to such chronic diseases are mainly attributable to nutrition, lifestyle habits, and genetic predisposition to the disease according to The China Study by T. Colin Campbell and Thomas M. Campbell. The point being there is more to the mutant genes than wearing the wrong bra.

Don’t get me wrong. Not wearing the right size can lead to issues such as tissue distortions, chest pain and so forth. You can read some of the signs that you are wearing the wrong bra here. For cancer, it takes much more than that.

The culprit is actually silicone which basically is that almost transparent substance used for gripper elastic and implants.

If your undergarment has gripper elastic, it just means you shouldn’t put it on all day because it can cause skin irritation like blisters which is ten thousand worlds apart from the dreaded disease. Being aware of this should put you are ease.
